WELCOME! to Modeled Writing!

Throughout the semester you will be asked to respond to a variety of writing prompts. This will be your opportunity to "walk in your students' shoes" as writers. As a community of writers, we will use this blog to simulate the "Author's Chair," or "sharing" component of the writer's workshop. You will also be given a "feedback focus." You are to read your classmates' posts and provide constructive feedback, based on the highlighted focus, on at least two of the posted writing responses each week. Once you have responded to a peer's writing you may not critique that person's writing again until your have provided feedback to every other member of the class. A variety of writing genres, purposes for writing, and research on writing will be explored during the semester. Let's get ready to write!!
